Third Evening of Turmoil in Dublin as Protesters Confront Refugee Accommodation
For the third straight evening, law enforcement in Ireland encountered a barrage of stones and fireworks within the capital city.
A large crowd of protesters gathered close to the entrance of a hotel housing asylum seekers in a western area of the city.
This marks the latest night of protests at the location following a reported incident involving a young girl near the hotel early on the start of the week.
A 26-year-old, whose identity remains unnamed due to standard procedures in such cases, appeared in court on Tuesday charged in relation to the alleged occurrence.
Multiple arrests were made during the serious disorder on that evening, and the national law enforcement vowed a “firm reaction” if the violence continued.
